What condition did you you come in for?
I was really not sure what was wrong I just knew that I did not feel well, my allergies were really bad, I felt tired all the time and usually I am a very hyper person. I had increased migraines, GI issues, and overall just felt bad.
What treatment options did you receive from conventional doctors and how did you feel about them?
I was put on a variety of migraine medications and basically just told to increase my fiber for my GI issues. For my allergies they just gave me more medication, which did not seem to be working and seemed to just make me more tired.
What were your symptoms and how did they affect your life?
I would have periods of constipation with periods of loose stools, stomach pain, severe migraines and severe pain throughout my body when I was on my period. My eyes were very puffy, itchy with periods of clearing up, then my nose would become congested, my skin also went through periods of out breaks and then clearing up. Basically I was a mess. My quality of life was severely decreased and I just could not understand why I was so sick. I thought maybe it was because we were living in a new place, however my husband felt it was something more.
How did you find Dr. Griffith? What is your impression of his bedside manner, professionalism, and knowledge?
I found Dr. Griffith while I was attending classes at Evergreen State College, I say an add for him at school. We were excited to see him because it was covered by our insurance and we both felt that modern medicine was beyond failing me at this point. We were also encouraged by our chiropractor to seek out alternative medicine. Dr. Griffith is extremely professional and has excellent bedside manner. He complete a full physical and very in depth review of our medical histories. He provided us with concrete solutions and offered a comprehensive care plan. He also explained that this was just a starting point and that he would continue to adapt his care plan as our symptoms improved or changed. He left his office feeling hopefully and excited that someone finally heard our concerns and was going to try to help us to become health again.
How has your experience benefited you? What have been the impacts on your symptoms and life since receiving this treatment?
Working with Dr. Griffith gave me back my health and improved my quality of life. We figured out that I was gluten and wheat intolerant, he helped me to understand how this was affecting my life and he provided me with IV treatments that helped to heal my system, in addition to dietary changes. My migraines dramatically decreased, my allergies have pretty much been resolved, only have problems with some flowers now, which I have always had. My bowel movements are regular, which is actually really important to your overall health. I have my usually energy level back and I have learned a lot about gluten and wheat intolerance. Everything that he taught me I have been able to consistently apply to my life and have been very happy with the changes in my life.
Would you recommend Dr. Griffith to your friends and family.
I would and have highly recommend Dr. Griffith to my friends that live in the Olympia area. We moved to San Diego and our insurance no longer covers professionals like Dr. Griffith, which makes me very sad. He truly changed my life and although I no longer see him, I still do all the interventions and dietary changes that he recommended. If we ever move back to Olympia he would be the first person I would go see, especially since now I have become an RN and truly understand my GI issues and now that he really did save my life.
